Carolina Golf
With more than 600 golf courses from the mountains
to the sea, North Carolina spans a gamut of golf few
states can match. From the Outer Banks coastal
courses to world-class Pinehurst in the piedmont and
the splendor of mountain golf, North Carolina does
not disappoint.
Mountain golf partners with Mother Nature to produce
50-mile vistas and a landscape with as many shades
of green as the Emerald Isle. Sheltered by the Blue
Ridge Mountains, Cummings Cove weaves mountain magic
into a challenging but playable course that is
always full of surprises. But don’t take our word
for it, read what New York Times affiliate—TIMES
NEWS—says about the course in a recent news story.

Cummings Cove Golf Course
Earning a coveted “Best Renovation of the Year”
award for 2006, our par 71 course features 18
distinctly different holes with a memorable 6,415
yard layout. Three unique par 3 holes highlight the
back nine; one virtually hangs from a cliff. And,
like Baltusrol, home of the PGA Championship, the
course finishes with back-to-back par 5’s.
Cummings Cove has everything that makes golfing in
the mountains special including elevated tees,
tree-lined fairways, lakes, streams, waterfalls and
see-forever views. Creature comforts enhance your
game with ice and water machines and restrooms
adjoining the 6th, 10th and 15th holes. Our private
club atmosphere and service is available to visiting
golfers and outside play. Rates vary with the
season, day and time of day. Please call our golf
shop for rates and tee time—828-891-9412. |
